Voicing the Wisdom Within
A sense of the sacred emerges through poetry & prose, as a voice emerges in times of great emotion. All around us, people explore their creative embodiment through movement, voice and language. It is our imagination, our spirit, matching the dancer's, singer's and poet's dream. We move because they move. We are left with wonder for the richness of self expression, the creative choices that are available and endless possibilities as the exploration of life and healing continue...
Grief work is the process of
remembering, of reconnecting and
releasing.
May be, we move through the
heavy work into the light, looping
back to a previous time, as we revisit
the questions, suspended by invisible
bonds, with answers veiled in
rememberance, long forgotten and
lost.
Or may be we skip around like
children playing hopscotch, taking
our turn to move forward, square by
square.
By breaking the bonds of
silence, we are free to not only
mourn, but also weave a narrative,
a journey into wholenss, by
establishing a continuous sense of
self with the degrees and full
spectrum of the light and the dark.
What is it, to taste one' s
sorrow?
To surrender, remember and
reconnect to bodily yearnings,
displayed in the emotional waters of
the eyes or the captured energy
released in the hands?
Layers of emotional expression,
unknown desires, forgotten
moments and unsaid
truths reveal themselves,
deepening the process, allowing for
may be, an insight, a beginning, a
link to be acknowledged,
to be honored?
